Number ranges with blood pressure readings
Dictated ranges in blood pressure readings should be expresses consistently, using either a hyphen or the word to. When ranges in blood pressure readings are dictated, do not combine with virgule construction. Do not reconstruct the ranges (as shown in the NEVER example below).
D: Blood pressure was 110 to 120 over 80 to 90.
T: Blood pressure was 110-120 over 80-90.
OR
Blood pressure was 110 to 120 over 80 to 90.
Blood pressure was in the 110-120 over 80-90 range.
NOT
Blood pressure was 110-120/80-90.
NEVER
Blood pressure was 110/80 to 120/90.
